  • Seestar S50 photos not showing in My Works

Good Morning All. I got my Seestar S50 yesterday and took it out for a spin this morning to snap some Solar images. Worked great and snapped a load of shots. The problem I have now though, is that when I connect my S50 to my PC to download the photos, there is nothing showing in the folder. I can see all of the photos on my app, but I cannot for the life of me work out why nothing is showing in my works.

I cannot find any way to export the photos. Is anyone able to explain to me where I am going wrong please.

Thank you

Duncandonut It is possible that these files are saved in your mobile phone. When Seestar shoots raw format files, these files will be saved in Seestar, and other files will be saved in your mobile phone or tablet.

I have a similar problem. I have taken photos in scenery mode and I can see theses on the iPad I'm running the App on, but I cannot see them at all within the My Works folder when I connect to a laptop using the cable. It simply says No files are present.
I note what has been said above regarding RAW. How do I change the still photo or Vid to raw?

Since getting the Seestar, I have had rubbish weather and have been unable to use the camera/scope in any other mode other than scenery

Andy_B Sorry, the Scenery mode does not support RAW format. Other modes support RAW format shooting.

I have had similar problems of late with cabling my S50 to my pc (Win11). I have always been able to get to My Works upon cabling up to pc. But in last few days, I cannot connect via File Explorer to My Works or via PixInsight to open files.
Normally this is always easy to do. I have rebooted S50 and the pc multiple times but nothing allows me to read files on SeeStar D: drive. Can anyone suggest how to fix this problem? I can connect as usual via wifi on my iphone or ipad thru the Seestar app. But this is awkward to handle the fit files for stacking. Ideas ? Thanks

Zajagw65 I haven't been able to connect via USB to Windows 11 for quite a few firmware levels. Linux works fine for me (Ubuntu 24.04).

On windows, I'll use home network access. You need to configure Station Mode on the S50 and then from File Explorer search on \Seestar

There should be tutorials within the Seestar app on how to configure Station mode.

Zajagw65 Hi, Seestar needs to be turned on first and connected to the computer via Type-C cable, does your computer not recognize the disk? Please change the data cable and try the USB port on the computer. thank you.
