Advanced mode for guiding

Dear @Tech@ZWO ; I would like you to (re)consider the capability to add advanced guiding settings into the Asiair.
Without it, it's not possible to remain into the ZWO ecosystem to start serious astrophoto that require consistent below 0" RMS.
I love the Asiair product but the fact that I cannot achieve good guiding makes me consider moving away from Asiair and buy a small computer instead.
I started with a CEM25P mount and a DSLR it was okay. Now I am upgrading and bought a EQ6R but I cannot make use of PEC, I cannot use settings such as min-move or other features from ph2d that are expected to make the full use of my gear.
My next move will be to buy a Camera, filter wheel and auto focuser as I am getting serious with the hobby. With such amount of gear you expect far better results and control. It is a shame that people who started with the Asiair have to let it go because of the missing guiding feature when they want to upgrade - thus moving away from the Asiair ecosystem and not buying ZWO anymore.

I need an adjustable Minmo or an advanced tab. Worm gear mounts and Strain wave mounts need different Minmo regardless of scope and camera configurations.

Tech@ZWO much appreciated. It even states this reduced Minmo requirement setting in other strain wave manufacturers operators manuals. My guiding can barely go under 0.75rms when using a Minmo of 0.2 pixels on all 3 of my various size and weight ZWO asiair imaging rigs. It ran 0.35 to 0.6 with a Minmo of 0.1 pixels, but not now using Testflight.

ASIair needs more "advanced" features in general- not just for guiding, as the system is very... one-sided when it comes to the UI-user experience.

I can't tell you how many times my nights have been ruined by guiding before I switched to IR imaging/guiding. The EQ6R is one of the better mounts on ASIair, however going from 0.1 on PHD2 consistently, then to .4"-.7" on 2.1, then to a rediculous ₁" +/- .5" on the new testflight is not acceptable at all when my sampling rate is .578". Even with my OAG it has got worse.

The 256GB ASIair Plus should've at least got something similar to this on launch since the infrastructure it is built on can handle pretty hefty computation loads.

Heres a list of features I've compiled from a lot of different people across the community that need to come for ASIair to stay relevant in the near future:

Advanced Guiding Settings.
Satellite Tracking.
Multi-Point Mount Alignment on the ASIair Side.
(Jumping from Synscan to ASIair is annoying- especially when you have no eyepiece/camera monitor instead of a phone going at .71 frames per minute, aligning is a pain in the glass.)
Updated & customizable UI- 8 point slew panel, seperate pages that interface directly with the preview to enhance controls, etc.
More intuitive sky map / settings for sky map on the mount page / more objects & better hints.
Custom preview / histogram stretching / white balancing.

Prismokay after discussing many feature items with ZWO, it is my understanding from correspondence that they want and intend to keep the ecosystem very simple and plain vanilla. They want it easy as 1,2,3 and that is all they plan it to ever be. I guess they figure a hard core user will use a laptop with phd2 etc. I just want at least the minimum to get basic guiding setting adjustability or an advanced tab so basic users can just use just default settings. Maybe add a few other needed non guiding related features… so don’t hold your breath as it probably won’t happen.
Maybe an asiair platinum edition in a few years. Haha

What you asking is just too complex for them. They could add a “Pro” or “Advanced” mode so those who want/need more options can access it on other tabs.

They just can’t code it. So they say they want to keep it simple bla-bla-bla 😂

After almost 5 years using their products, 3 years wandering on this forum, I came to the conclusion that they just can’t be what we are asking them to be. It’s too much for them.

Prismokay unfortunately they can probably just keep doing what they do now as they sell too many cameras to go bye bye!
