Good News!!! Thanks Tech@ZWO we expect it ready for this Christmas…….. I need to book my own-present
ZWO Rotator Status?
Like many, i have been waiting for this rotator for quite a while. however, i would not purchase one UNTIL ASIAIR was stable. way way better than 2.2.2! i use android so at least it's easy for me to go back a few revs, but the CAA will require a new, and STABLE release for air so i sure hope that ZWO take their time with AIR software and get it really right. it would be bad to purchase the CAA (when available) and then still have to revert to older (and more stable) air software...........and not be able to actually use the new CAA!

AsiAir 2.3.xx have a CAA button and some images of CAA in packaging appeared online, are we close to release? @Tech@ZWO
I appreciate your support.
I cannot public more information for now :)
Latest beta seems to officially contain the CAA details. When is the release for CAA?
Hi all!!! CAA has been introduced at the AstroShow in Cesena, Italy just 2 days ago. Apparently would be ready for purcharse early december. Tech@ZWO, Is this true? Could you be so kind to confirm please?

Which year? end of this year is quite close now...
Are you able to confirm that you still plan to release the CAA this month? I need to decide if I should wait or switch to an alternative brand.
Many Thanks
Timsastro Should have been released long time ago... Honestly, go for an alternative brand : there are plenty alternatives much better than zwo ecosystem, with better customer support (and known the price we are paying, we could expect a very high customer support level).
Looks like ZWO is more interested in selling S50 to a larger panel of customers.
Raph382 It does seem that way
I regret that I did not buy a rotator from a friend from another manufacturer at a tempting price. I wanted to stay faithful to ZWO, I've been waiting for a year since then, apparently in vain. ZWO once made a breakthrough for astrophotographers with their cameras, but now they seem to have been forgotten, moving to a more mass consumer.

77pro Everything in this hobby is a “luxury”. A camera rotator is very much a necessity when imaging on multiple nights. Particularly with the Asiair’s ability to use a previous subframe for framing. If you’re doing a mosaic, it can make the difference between possible or not.
If they aren’t releasing it soon, the least they could do is add Ascom support for other devices.
CAA will be released soon, so stay tuned.
