I am enjoying the SeeStar very much. Unfortunately for ZWO some of us are using the scope for observing objects outside of the included object catalog. It would be great if a couple of easy functions were added to the app.
Provide a way to enter a altitude and azimuth for the scope to GOTO and be able to label that location and save it for future reference. I have had some success using SkySafari to get in the approximate location of an object not in the catalog but the SeeStar acts a bit odd after doing that. Variable star observations are fun to do with the SeeStar but most of the stars are not available in the sky atlas.
Not all observations deserve to be saved on the SeeStar. Sometimes the scope is not quite centered on the object or a tree branch is in the field of view or there is too much background light interference. It would be great if there was the option to not save the image data when the enhancing is stopped. Perhaps when image enhancement is stopped the SeeStar would present the jpeg that would be saved and ask if it should be saved to the phone or ipad and if yes save it and the fits data to the Workspace folder.
One other thing that seems odd. When moving around in the sky atlas the grid is presented in Local Alt Az mode but at the bottom of the screen the location is showing Equatorial mode RA and Dec. It would make more sense to make the sky atlas and the bottom reference type the same. That way a precise location can be found in the sky.
But in the meantime, This is a fantastic telescope and I congratulate ZWO for what has been done on the app to date.
