Following on from previous question about setting the Seestar to an EQ tilt angle.
Will using an equatorial wedge damage any of the working parts of the Seestar? Are there any angle ranges where it will not be safe?
I'm based at 54°N.
Roderz10 Using the Seestar in a tilted state will not damage the parts, but it will make the Seestar in an unstable state, which poses certain risks. Officials do not recommend such use.
Given there are specific risks, would you mind listing them?
OLT There is a certain risk of falling when using the Seestar in a tilted state. At the same time, the internal motor will be unevenly stressed, which will accelerate the aging of the equipment.
