Asiair field of view.

I have a asiair plus and have noticed when imaging with my Lunt 60 h-alpha and a asi178mm I don't get the complete disc of the sun in. Cuts off the top and bottom. Fits files show same. I use the highest resolution also, However, when using asi studio, I get the whole disc. Why is the field of view bigger in asi studio than in asiair?

The ASIAIR Video mode resolution is limited to 1024x768. If you want the full 3096x2080 pixel, use the ASIStudio ASICap and stack the .ser files with ASIVideoStack software on your PC.

There is also a nice feature to enable the yellow Sun Color.

I have the same Lunt and ASI camera combination.

Actually you can get up to 1920x1080 [1080p resolution]. It will not go higher than that. ZWO says the hardware will handle anything higher.

johnpd Yes, my fault 🙂. The ASIair video mode resolution is a little bit higher.
