I have an ASIair mini and use if for EAA with a 50 mm refractor and 10 second sub-exposures. My AZ-GTI requires that I use a wedge and therefore polar align, but my star adventurer wedge has basic adjustment capability when adjusting alt and azimuth controls during polar alignment. The ASIair polar alignment routine will not allow completion with an error more than 2 arc seconds, but I feel confident that my setup would work fine with a larger error and therefore quicker and less frustrating time spent with alignment. So, my request is to have a setting that will allow a larger error (say up to 5 arc seconds), as an option for folks like me who don’t need such a precise alignment. It looks like there is no way to modify this at present.

What’s to keep you from simply aborting the alignment process at any point you want. You’re performing a mechanical process, when you reach 2 arc/sec error, stop and start imaging. I have an ASIAIR+, that would work if I wanted to settle for less than perfection. Don’t know about a mini.

joey76 We have released the max error to 5" in the next version.
