ASI2600MM Pro and EFW 36mm Gen 1

Dear all

I will be upgrading my 1600 to the 2600 and I am using a 36mm Gen 1 7-position EFW. I like it being more compact that the Gen 2 on offer with the mounting holes for the 2600 but I am wondering about compatibillity?

Hi Chen. I don't have the 2600 yet but the 1600 doe snot have vignetting. I use 36mm unmounted Chroma filters which should work very well with the 2600. All I am wondering id the gen 1EFW with 2600.

The Chroma filters are great (very low halo); I have two complete LRGBSHO unmounted sets of 36m and 2". The 2" ones are mounted in two separate filter wheels to keep the size and weight down.

Just check the drawings carefully -- there could be some vignetting from a 36mm, depending on the f-number of your OTA.

Thanks, will do. Using an Edge HD 8. Switching from 1600 to 2600 will allow more crop worst case.

I have now tested the system and zero halos on flats. The match is perfect.
