Any update on this, please?
ASIAIR DSLR depends on libgphoto2. The latest update of this library (2.5.31.1) adds supports for the Canon EOS R100, R3, R8, R50 cameras. Will not be much of a stretch for the ZWO team to update their software to this latest library.
Any update on this.i am stuck buying ASIair mini as i am having R8. Atleast give a time line.
add my support for supporting the Canon R8!!!! ASAp Please!!!! And fix whatever the firmware problem that won't connect my AVX mount to ASAIR MINI, which I reported and requested a couple months ago. The ASAIR Mini is a useless paperweight otherwise.
Any update or plan for Adding R8. Please please add support. Or else will have to sell and go away from Zwo exosystem to astrostation or something.
Please add another person (me) to the R8 cohort. I'm just putting together my first astrophotography kit together and after all my research this controller is definitely the route I want to take. Are we getting closer? I see this thread started 10 months ago Thank you
I'm also eagerly awaiting R8 support so I can buy one and try it with my mini!
Unreal there is still no support for one of Canon's most popular cameras. Been recommending people switch to mini pc's and other solutions unfortunately.
Tech@ZWO May I know when the EOS R8 will be supported? If there are no plans current or future, I will be switching back to a laptop and not purchasing additional ZWO products as the prices for products in this closed ecosystem is a lot higher than other brands such as SVBony, QHYCCD, Touptek etc. Thank you.
VinceSees Sorry, this might not be doable anytime soon.
Tech@ZWO I have also waiting for an update for the canon r8. I haven’t done Astrophotography in about 10 months because I can’t use the r8. I have a 10 year old camera that isn’t really good but I’m thinking about selling all gear due to the hassle of use such an old camera. Not Cool.
I also have an R8. You guys need to get your act together with one of the most popular cameras! I hate to think I wasted $500 plus on a paperweight. Thanks.
9RcjODum while I do agree that ZWO should have a timeline to add support for the R8 - you can't blame ZWO for you not checking the ASIAIR was compatible with your equipment before you bought it. That's on you to "get your act together".
The compatibility table is on their website for the product: https://www.zwoastro.com/product/asiair-plus/
