T-2 11mm spacer on camera front won't come off ASI294MC pro

Hi, I just bought a ZWO ASI294MC pro OSC camera. Come to find out, the T-2 spacer on the front of the camera won't unscrew or come off in any way. It's stuck on, And, I'm afraid to use any more force than what I have to remove it. Anybody seen this before? Any ideas what to do about it ?? Thanks for any help. It's making getting the right back focus kind of a problem.

When threads are stuck, one thing that can help is to compress the threads before turning. I.e., press the two parts together with as much force as you can, and then turn. Some people use rubber soles of sneakers to do the compressing.

Jar openers might also help. It spreads the force across the circumference, instead of distorting the spacer (althrough the ZWO spcer is so thinck, it is not likely to distort).

In general, ZWO spacers are terrribly machined. Just compare them with spacers from preciseparts.com, which had never seized on me.

Use a rubber strap wrench. Amazon sells them. They work every time.
