  • Split image / frame on new Camera ASI 178 MC Color because of usb cable.

Serious ZWO.. I just bought my first ZWO camera (and last) and I must say it's not a good start.
It's a brand new ASI 178 MC Color that I got from Astroshop eu yesterday, and it came with the original red USB cable.

However I see split image / frame on all images, nomatter what app I use on, linux, windows or mac.
Then I read someone here suggested changing the usb cable and so I took a usb3 cable form one of my cooled ToupTek cameras and now it looks fine.

Why the heck are you shipping crappy usb cables?? No quality checks?

Now I have to use extra money on a good cable.
Just ridiculous, specially considering the ZWO prices.

    franksemi Sorry for the trouble, can you please share some problem images with us? and what is the SN of your camera?
    If the problem is with the cable, we will arrange replacement cables for you.
