ASIAIR Plus & EAF purchase

Hello,
This is my first time posting on this forum. I have a TEC 140FL and I also use ZWO cameras for capturing and guiding. I would also like to buy an ASIAIR Plus and a ZWO EAF. For the time being I’m using my Windows laptop. My question is: can anyone please let me know, if I buy an ASIAIR and an EAF, can I still use my current laptop? Or do I have to buy some kind of tablet or other device? I’m trying hard to keep the spending down, as my wife keeps a very close watch on me. Thank you!

The Asiair is controlled over the app, there is no option to control it over any normal OS.
I normally use an Ipad for this, but in the field I use more and more the smartphone.
My workflow is:
Get focus on main and guidingcam, polaralingnment, go to object, find the best angle and set the sequence.
All this could be done over the smartphone without problems.

@"Crichardson" can I still use my current laptop?

The M-series Macs can also use the iOS ASIAIR app. Some behaviour is odd (like pinching to magnify) since there is no touch interface on macos.

With Windows, one can use Android emulators such as BlueStacks, but the experience is a far cry from using a tablet.

Do yourself a favor and get a tablet to use ASIAIR.

Sorry, but I don't use any Android devices. And even if I do, I make it a point not to recommend products, like the YouTube shills.

Chen, thanks for your replies. I also do not use anything Android, but apparently you don’t understand what I’m asking about. Sorry for the miscommunication. Possibly my messages got lost in a language translation as your reply makes absolutely no sense. I’ll try elsewhere. Thanks anyway.
