denababy I’ve been trying to set the limits on my asi EAF but there is no movement at all, either in or out.
Check the focuser mechanical lock of your rack-and-pinion or Crayford focuser. Make sure that it is completely loose. A few turns loose from the lock position.
The focuser lock of the Askar 80 really sticks out under the focuser, you can't miss it.
When you install an EAF, the best thing to do is to throw away the locking thumbscrew. You don't need it, and will reduce the possibility to mistakenly apply too much pressure on the EAF.
If you turn on the beep function of the EAF, you should hear a double beep if the focuser lock is keeping the EAF from moving. Any double beep is a sign of problem.
