Bug Details:
• App Name: ASIAIR
• App Version: 2.1.5
• Device: Xiaomi PAD 5 – Lenovo TAB 10
• Android Version: 13
Description of the Issue:
Dear ASIAIR Team,
I would like to report an issue I have encountered in the ASIAIR app for Android related to the rotation angle. Below are the details of the problem:
Steps to Reproduce the Bug:
- Open the ASIAIR app on an Android device.
- Load an image from the gallery (e.g., from preview files).
- Observe that the rotation angle resolved by ASIAIR differs by approximately 30° from the angle obtained using other applications like ASTAP.
- Perform a GoTo from a gallery image.
- Note that while the center of the image is accurately resolved, the proposed angle differs from both the actual rotation angle of the image and the rotation angle resolved by ASIAIR (which is surprising).
Expected Behavior:
• When loading an image from the gallery, the rotation angle resolved by ASIAIR should match the angle obtained from other applications like ASTAP.
• When performing a GoTo from a gallery image, the proposed angle should match the actual rotation angle of the image and the angle resolved by ASIAIR.
Observed Behavior:
• The rotation angle resolved by ASIAIR differs by approximately 30° from the angle obtained using other applications like ASTAP when loading an image from the gallery.
• The proposed angle during a GoTo from a gallery image differs from both the actual rotation angle of the image and the rotation angle resolved by ASIAIR.
Evidence of the Issue:
• Evidence (screenshots, videos, or error logs) will be provided upon request by ZWO.
Frequency of the Issue:
• The issue occurs consistently whenever the steps described above are followed.
Additional Comments:
• This issue affects the accuracy of using gallery images for tasks requiring precise rotation angles, which is crucial for accurate astronomical observations and alignments.
I hope this information helps in identifying and resolving the bug. I am available to provide further details if needed.
Thank you for your attention and for the excellent work on the ASIAIR app.
Best regards,
