What a frustrating night. The automatic recording is a mess if you live in a heavily obstructed environment. Example, I give it a target M24.
In the old version, I would search for the object, then tap goto. Now I have to use one more click as it shows it to me in the map first, then gives me the goto option.
It traverses to M24. Now it just hangs there trying to identify something that it cannot see due to obstruction.
In the old version, I’d tap the arrow in the upper left, see it’s obstructed, and move to another target. Now I have to stop the recording, then hit the arrow to see its obstructed. More clicks to do simple things.
Ok, let’s go up a bit to M18. Same thing. It hangs on identifying and I can’t see what it’s seeing until I stop it. If I then stop the goto to confirm this, it fights me and I have to sometimes tap multiple times before it lets me see what’s going on.
Ok. One more target, a little higher. M16. Now it crapped out entirely and gave me an Error code 207. Why cause the top of the garage is partly obstructing its view and it’s not happy.
I can’t stress this enough - see first, confirm, focus. then hit record. If I was living in Nebraska I’d be loving the update as it would save me steps, but in an urban environment the Seestar frustratingly now fights the user.
Give us the option to turn these automations off.
