Before anybody starts asking me how I used the S50/SeeStar to capture such an image, I just took a short video clip, then I asked Perplexity AI how to convert the video into this image. I copy and pasted the code it suggested, monkey see monkey do style, and the image you see here popped out at the other end.

starnet Nice image. I guess i would say that the S50 did good. The time for ISS transit the sun is probably less than 2sec. I'm probably to far to the north to capture an image like this i think. Off-topic: long time ago i relayed a VHF AX25 packet via ISS to send a short e-mail. And usually when i used the onboard digipeater ISS was in the horizon south/south-west for me.

The transit time was 0.6 seconds (the frame rate is 30fps and there are about 20 frames) and the typical size of the ISS image is 50 arcseconds. You are correct, there are no ISS solar or lunar transits at your latitude.
