Please help me identify this defect on the main objective of my ZWO S50 SeeStar. It has possibly been present since I received the telescope or when I used the open arm function, and it pointed near the low-horizon sun. Until this new update, I had installed the solar filter with the scope pointing at about 7 p.m. The Raise-Arm function appears to come up too high near the sun. I am seeking warranty coverage to replace the front lens.
I took these pictures using a digital microscope. The spot is 1mm x 1mm.
