Hi Is it possible for you to do a custom park position for the users . there are a lot of users using ASIAIR and AM5 mounts now in observatory's and it would be very good to be able to set a custom park position to be safe when closing the roofs Thank You
David61 Hi,yes,we are collecting user requirements about 'park position',could you give me your advice?
Here's a good and easy way to do it. Let user move the mount to a position that he wants as the park position. Have a 'save' button to remember it. Then have a button next to the current go to home button after a session. The other button will be 'go to park after a session'. Then telescope and mount will go to that designated position after an imaging session. there should also be a 'park' button on the main screen, with an appropriate 'are you sure' before command is executed.
azskyguy Good idea
yes its very easy to do im really surprised its not been done before been using mounts for 20 years and always had a park position . you could just do what you have done in the ascom driver and park the scope horizontal , perhaps others can give the input please
David61 OK great
Where is a link to the new "mainXSYZ.bin" to do the upgrade via PC and the ASCOM driver ???
The link https://www.zwoastro.com/software/ does not have either the firmware or the firmware update tool for AM Firmware V1.5.7.
Does this mean V1.5.7 is not available?
Instructions on how to update mount firmware via ASCOM: https://bbs.zwoastro.com/d/16322-am5-latest-firmware-v130-beta-is-released-for-test/10
However, there is no link to a zipped file for the .bin file for V1.5.7. Where is the link to the .bin file, or is the .bin file no longer necessary for the update?
msw135 Hi,you can upgrade firmware online.
I solved the problem by installing the latest ASCOM driver for the mount, connecting after that to my computer and pressing the button "firmware update". The latest version 1.5.7 was shown and I could choose "online" instead of "file".
Hi Thank you for the updates. I installed V1.5.7 on my AM5 and now get dec stall warnings when going to home position. This has occurred in both altaz and eq modes. Also while slewing at 5x. I did not get these errors before the update. Please advise how to fix the issue. Thanks.

I have the same problem. I updated my AM5 a week ago and got the same Error while using the goto function. A temporär solution was to activate the heavy duty mode. After that i was able to use the goto function again.
Maybe ZWO can take a closer look at the problem.
best regards
I wonder if this has something to do with the optimized power consumption. But why only in Dec then and only when going to home position.
Just tested with my AM3. Goto Home works fine, but no scope was attached to it.

Stephan
