The new version has been released. All #ASIAIR previous versions' users are encouraged to upgrade to this version.
Thanks to all users who helped in the beta period. Especially the Admins and Testers.

PMTeam@ZWO As being reported by others, the latest update crashes on my android phone. I have the Samsung S24 Ultra. The app crashes after selecting Enter Device. All previous versions and updates worked fine. Is there a work around or a fix?

Does this mean that my ASIAir Plus 256GB can control an AM3 or AM5N mount via Bluetooth? Seriously thinking about buying an AM5N mount, and Bluetooth control will be so useful in freeing up station mode.

Hello ZWO team,
I upgraded the app on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra as well as on my Samsung S7+ tablet.
Everything works fine on the tablet, the ASIAIR FW upgrade also succeeded as expected.
However, ever since the app keeps crashing on the S23 Ultra whenever I press "Enter Device". Please double check and provide a fix. The phone is currently unusable with the phone.

pgrabienski We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We've identified the cause of the crash issue with the APK downloaded from the Google Play Store and are working on an urgent fix. In the meantime, we recommend downloading the APK directly from our official website at the following link: https://www.zwoastro.com/software/. We will also upload the fixed version to the Google Play Store as soon as possible.

Crashes on my Samsung S8 tablet too.

this is the site where their beta versions are located. the version on the beta site is 2.1.5
i just tried updating on my samsung A7 lite (it's been working for over a year with various updates but will not work with v2.2 (keeps crashing as well). i had to revert and all is well (for now) i reverted to 2.1.3 because i had that saved in my downloads.

Good thing the Wife has an iPad, I can use that to get through the party if need be

Can't use the new v2.2 on my samsung S22 Ultra, it crashed as other users reported.
I also tried to uninstall/ reinstall and clear the cash data but still badly behaving the same.
That new version is useless for my phone !

if you go to the beta site

and then scroll down to the section called "Other Versions of ASIAIR" you will see a list. if you click on the 2023 beta version (it's not obvious it's an active link) and then go back up to the top of the page you will see that the download version has been changed. i have no idea if any of those versions will work on your device but you could try.

Also crashing on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 when I click Enter Device. Can't get the download from ZWo's website, either. Trying an uninstall and reinstall.

Uninstalling completely and reinstalling did not help at all.

Mine also crashing when trying to enter device, on Samsung S7fe and Xaiomi 11T phone, both after a clean install. Found 2.1.5 and installed that again. Works fine again now.

2.2 crashes after EnterDevice on my Pixel 6a (Android 14 august 5th update - all appsvupdated)
Things I have tried

force stop app and restart - same crash
restart phone - same crash
cleared asiair cache. Cleared asiair Storage, uninstall then reinstall asiair app - same crash

Thankfully my other tablet had not updated or I would have ruined a rare clear night .

I think it's fair to say we feel like alpha testers with this release - as this should have been caught in very basic testing
