2.8 - 12 mm lens on ASI482MC

Hi,
I bought the 2.8-12mm lens as well as the M42/CS Adapter to use on my ASI482MC but i can't get it to focus to infinity.
I can get it to focus inside the lens itself at best, i can only guess that the flange distance is very wrong.
Am i missing an extension tube or something ?

The 2.8-12mm lens doesn't show a compatibility list so i kind of assumed that, thanks to its zoom/focus capabilities, there was no compatibility issue. but here i am ...

Any idea ?

EDIT : i don't need an extension tube, i need the opposite. The lens is too far from the sensor. 🙁

The lens you have is a CS-Mount lens. It should say so on the lens barrel.

They work only with the ZWO cameras that have the 12.5mm flange to sensor distances (like the pancake ASI290MC and ASI462MC).

Your camera has a 17.5mm flange focal distance, and will need C-Mount lenses. Like some found here, for example:

C- and CS-mounts have the same threads, but different flange focal distances.

If you want better image quality, try a mirrorless camera fisheye lens with a ZWO 4/3 camera adapter:
