I have both a 294MC Pro and a 533MC Pro, both are one-shot color cameras with cooling. The 294MC Pro was my first cooling camera and it has worked fine over the years. I did have to replace the fan earlier this year. Now I have another issue. I do not know if the cooling has gone out during the night, or the camera is just having sensor issues. Maybe it is the power supply going out after time, but I am not sure of that either.
I have checked the camera out during the daytime with very short exposure times, cooling on and noticed that the green channel does not produce green color very well. However, I then tested my 533MC Pro and it also has the same color affect for green.
Do both cameras show green (the green foliage on trees) to be a light brown during the day? Gain for the 294 is 120 and for the 533 gain is set to 100.
During two sessions at night, the 294MC Pro was imaging well but sometime during the night, stars were not showing up as much and brighter stars were kind of a yellow dot. Could that indicate that the cooling system stopped? I do not remember if I checked the cooling status when I noticed the issue, but I did turn cooling on at the start. I have tested this out on both NINA taking individual images and ASI Studio Live Stack program and the condition repeated itself after some time.
I have checked out both cameras’ data cables, by switching them around, and there doesn't seem to be an issue with cables.
Any thoughts on what is causing the 294MC Pro to have such issues during the night?
