ASIAIR Plus and EAF / Refocus Problem

I've recently had an issue where when the ASIAIR Plus is set to refocus every 30 min it occasionally it fails leaving the scope severely out of focus.

The image below is a crop showing the out of focus stars. Has anyone had a similar experience and do you know how to fix it ?

monsonpa did you change anything if this only started happening recently? Firmware/app update?

What firmware/app version are you using?

What equipment are you using?

monsonpa Hello. Does this loss of focus happen often? If it is occasional, it is possible that there is a cloud. We are planning to optimize our focus algorithm in the near future, so that if the focus fails due to the absence of stars, it will return to the position of the last successful focus.

There were bugs with version 2.2.1-11.26.

You should actually turn off auto update for the ASIAIR app on your device. On Android, you can do this via the Play Store App for the ASIAIR App. On iOS/iPadOS, though, this would involve turning of auto updates for all apps via the App Store App.

There's no need to update the ASIAIR App on your device (which then updates the firmware on your ASIAIR as they are a matched set) if things are working fine for you.

It was a very clear night so there were no clouds. The image I sent is a crop of a larger image and there were many stars.

I also working on a problem where I am trying to use longer cables with the am5 and I wonder whether this odd behavior could be related to a loss of voltage.
