I recently bought a new camera 2600mc pro. I was using 294mm pro before. I had NINA 3.1 installed and everything was fine. When I connected the new camera, every frame was completely dark, even without noise. I updated the ASCOM driver and the frames were now normal but with the native NINA driver everything remained the same, version 1.35.0.0. Now I've installed the latest version of NINA 3.2 RC014 with camera version 1.39.0.0, and frames are now saving normally, just like with the ASCOM driver.

BTW i have the same problem as the author of this thread, jandruss. Frame acquisition errors from the camera appear randomly. I have the latest version of NINA 3.2 RC014 installed.
The camera is new, from 2025. I use the thick red USB cable from ZWO. I use various power supplies, including a battery-powered one. And when errors appear, they are independent of the rest of the equipment. I also tried setting the USB limit from 40 to 100. Nothing helps. I never had such problems with my previous 294mm camera.

I am also having the same issue. I have checked my system for all of the aforementioned "fixes"; and nothing works. Has any solution appeared since the last response? I also upgraded to the 2600MMPro 2025, from a previous ZWO camera that worked fine.

New camera firmware 3.27 released yesterday. Seems to have fixed the issue for me in NINA. Running native driver (not Ascom) still shooting images at 300 seconds after 8 hours with no errors.

With this new version, I’m still experiencing the issue when using a different power hub. However, when I use the original ZWO power supply, the problem doesn’t occur — regardless of whether I’m on the new or old firmware.

I've done a few tests (only indoors) and the issue still persists, even with the new driver version (not as often though, 50 images captured and only 3 download errors).

I'm going to order the original ZWO power supply as Depmu mentioned and will report back, before I return the camera to the vendor.

EDIT:

Just did another quick test, this time with cooling off. Took 100 images, no download errors. So seems to be related to cooling.

Hello. I have a MoonLite focuser and rotator that's excellent. It works with NINA, with ZWO ASI 6200 and another 2600 cameras, both excellent. Everything is connected to the Pegasus Astro Ultimate PowerBox V3. Everything works fine except that neither camera downloads files or photos. It's a complete disaster. The cameras work perfectly on a ZWO-only system with Asiar. I've been researching and other users are experiencing the same problem, and there's no response from ZWO. They say it's a driver incompatibility. The truth is, sometimes they work fine, and other times they randomly fail to download the files. But they don't offer a solution. I've already tried changing USB cables and all the numerous suggestions from the forums, but nothing works. I was wondering if I could connect my system to ASIAR and remove it from NINA and Pegasus, but still use my MoonLite for focusing and rotating. Is that compatible? Thank you very much.

I've received the ZWO power adapter and did a new round of testing.

Even with the original ZWO power adapter, there are still download errors, but only when cooling is active. After now testing 5 different power adapters and 7 USB cables, it has to be an issue with the camera. There is no way, all power adapters and USB cables are faulty.

I would like to add some additional information after further testing.

My system is an Intel NUC8i3. As described earlier, I had been experiencing random frame acquisition errors with the ASI2600MC Pro on Windows 10. These issues were present regardless of cables, power supplies, or USB traffic settings.

Separately from this, I noticed that Windows 10 had updated the Generic USB Hub driver (driver date: 10/10/2025), which appears to be responsible for the internal USB hub used by ZWO cameras. After this driver update, I started to experience new USB problems with my older ASI294MM Pro: the filter wheel and focuser connected through the camera hub would randomly disconnect. These issues did not exist before the driver update.

As a troubleshooting step, I upgraded the system from Windows 10 to Windows 11, which uses a different Generic USB Hub driver. Since the upgrade, both cameras have been working stably so far. The ASI2600MC Pro no longer shows frame acquisition errors, and the ASI294MM Pro hub connections (filter wheel and focuser) remain stable. No other hardware or settings were changed.

I cannot say for sure whether all of these issues share the same root cause, but in my case upgrading to Windows 11 resolved the USB-related problems observed on this system.

As kind of a "last resort" I tried the Ascom driver, with low hopes of it working better than the main driver.

But when using the Ascom driver, the camera works just fine. No download errors, no matter which power or USB cable I use.

So from my side, I can confirm it's a driver issue with the official main driver.

thecounter Has this issue been completely resolved when using the ASCOM driver? I haven’t been able to test it again on my setup yet, so I’m not sure whether switching to ASCOM fully fixes the problem.

Depmu Yes, with the Ascom driver there are no issues so far. Did 3 rounds of testing with the different cables and stuff, even using the original red usb 3 cable from ZWO and my cheap power adapter, it's working flawless now.

Downloading the image is a bit slower (like half a second or so), but no dropped frames with over 500 test images taken (with cooling on and off).

As soon as I connect the camera with the ZWO driver, it's back to dropping frames.
