Looking at the photo, I wonder if the lens is detachable like the Dwarf's detachable filters, maybe an option for wide-field astrophotography?

I guess it comes down to cost. The dwarf 3 is affordable, the Celestron smart scope is 7k here in Australia and ridiculously priced.
I hope ZWO will still support the S50.

Tech@ZWO That is fantastic news, I like the look of the s30, and may considera purchase when the specs are revealed. I have to admit though I am hanging out for an up graded S50 or bigger. These scopes are great and I think ZWO is ahead of the m,arket at present.

djpoppy looks like a shrinked vespera. 🙂 So this could mean they release two new devices as the first teaser does not look like it shows a part of the left device.

I think the one on the right is a normal Seestar S50, going by the measurements of the supplied tri-pod its the same as my S50. Going back to the orignal post about 'New Seestar' coming soon the outer case looks white in the picture so would match with their post on X and Instagram. It's got to be a baby brother to the S50.
Hope it has a better sensor than the S50, maybe Sony Starvis 2 IMX678 or IMX676 that would be good
