I updated last night for my asi air mini. All was well for 3o min of focusing , Slewed to my object and did some last minute shots for focusing.... and then my ipad AND phone lost the asiair wifi signal..its just not broadcasting- couldn't find the mini. Could this recent firmware update be the issue? Going to try reset next as rebooting didn't help. the computer boots up and gives the signal its wifi hotspot is ready but now I cant find.....

WiFi has been terrible last couple of updates. It's not you or your equipment...I've reported it and other issues and sent logs. Hopefully soon....

appreciate - I really don't know what else I can do. just went home and tried a reset and still - NO ASIAIRxxx hotspot on any of devices. all the lights are blinking according to the troubleshooting screens on app- wifi, power and sys.....

I cannot access this box with pc since its a mini and no ethernet port. I really am not sure what to do next. I bought in January and up through last night was seamless and now poof! cannot play. ๐Ÿ™

update. thanks to azskyguy. I did factory reset and it is now detectable. trying now to update firmware and hoping it holds. at least this is software issue not hardware. Clear Skies!!

Hi. With this new release and even during the beta period, I'm experiencing an issue with the SkyWatcher Star Adventurer GTi that I haven't had in previous iterations.

When I'm guiding for about 2-2:30 hours the mount suddenly starts moving in declination for no reason . I mean, it moves as if it is looking for another object when I'm just doing an Autorun session. Have Meridian flip disabled and I'm actually shooting far from it.

So, in order to make it works again, I have to disable the mount in the ASIAir Plus, switch off the mount and star over. I have checked all the possible options that could be interfering in the mount software, but all them are disabled.

I'm using EQMod in the ASIAir ( have tried other SkyWatcher options but never works as well as EQMod ). Any idea what can cause this? As I said, I haven't seen this behavior in previos versions. Thank you.

Just an update. I reinstalled firmware update and my asiair mini again dropped off as a detectable wifi spot. I repeated factory install and got it working again..so this firmware update is very flawed. Hope it gets fixed soon.....

            Hi.
I updated my AA+ to 2.2.2. version. And It performed beautifully for 2 nights straight.

Only issues that I had were that guiding went off a bit....but honestly I think it was beacuse heavy due forming on the scope. Another issue was that the scope did not slew to exact "Home position" . It slews to its vicinity.

            Thank you,
            J

I lost WiFi once with the ASIAir Plus. I had to reboot it to get the WiFi SID to broadcast again. There are still a few annoying UI bugs that I wish would get fixed. Otherwise, it seems OK so far. I have to say that the quality seems to be getting worse with each update however.

Another issue is if I turn on the AM5 first, the ASIAir won't boot. I have to turn off the AM5 and wait for the Air to boot up before turning it back on.

I'm also experiencing the wifi issue others are mentioning since updating to 2.2.2 11.30

            The symptoms are:

            • Regular boot-up, with normal signal LEDs
            • Does not broadcast access point, and does not connect to router for station mode

            The solution is:

            • Hold down the reset button for about 5 seconds to reset wifi, and wait until wifi light stops blinking. AP and Station Mode will remain non-functional until after the next step.
            • Disconnect power from the device (I leave it unplugged for about 10 seconds) and then plug it back in.
            • Access point will become available after boot-up, and station mode will have to be reactivated under the ASIAIR Networks options. (Thankfully station mode network login details are retained).
            • Repeat any time you have to power cycle the device :-(

Actions that don't seem to fix it:

            • Resetting wifi without power-cycling the device afterward.
            • Power-cycling the device without doing a wifi reset first.
            • Rolling back to factory firmware and reinstalling 2.2.2 11.30

Sony A7rV is still not working properly to control the cameras on both the ASIAir Plus and mini. Both still require a manual shutter release cable.

I now have a new issue since the update. My rig doesn't go to home position and rig stopped focusing last night. Up until the recent update, everything was running perfectly.

Hello all. Is it possible to revert backwards from the 2.2.2 update? Since that update, my ASIAir keeps crashing on my iPAD. Also having trouble finding and connecting to its WiFi network.

Before the update, it was perfect. Never any problems.

I've been told that unless you are an Apple platform, there is a way to go back. I am on Apple so no hope for me. Unfortunately, ZWO does not allow you to keep your old firmware. You must upgrade after the first "not now" you select.

JTSAN I get it that there will always be issues with updates, but why isnt there a feature to revert to a previous release when updates go south, we donโ€™t get that many clear nights in the UK and itโ€™s annoying when it happens.
