You must have a lot of apps installed. I get that many updates in a about a month. What I do is shut off all updates, then go into the App Store and manually update the apps I want to but skip the update for the ASIAIR. I am still on v1.9 and waiting for an ASIAIR update that does not break the world.

The way I update firmware is I have the app installed in my iPhone and iPad. I use my iPad 100% of the time which auto updates are turned off, when there is an update my iPhone informs me then I choose whether I want to install it.

Dunno, I am using AA since the pro came out. Never had a severe issue that prevented me to use it normally. Sometimes there were and are glitches (most are related to the frame rotation feature).

Maybe I am very lucky…. The issues are just very concentrated in this forum and this is to be expected. Given the thousands of AAs in use many issues seem relatively isolated.
But it is true that too many recourses are channeled to the Seestar. AA development is stuck and is not really progressing. „Rotator!“

Same issue with WIFI : lost after this f*** upgrade, no hotspot, AA Mini accessible only though station mode or via Ethernet adapter (not useful).
Other issues with to guiding camera (220MM) on my AA+ : no image in guide mode, but OK when set as imaging cam or video.
Everything was fine before this release.
ZWO, PLEASE do something serious !

I use the ASI Air Pro, most recent version. It works well with the imaging set up but when I move the images from the Flash drive to the Mac the drives often won't eject. I'm using a 64 USB 3.0 Cruzer glide. This is recent. The Drives are formatted in MSDOS Fat32. Any suggestions of the best way to move images from the ASAir to a Mac?

Connect the ASIAIR's LAN port to your home router's Ethernet switch. Forget about ASIAIR WiFi; it is crap.

In the macos Finder's Go menu (in menu bar), select "Connect To Server."

Click Browse in the "Connect to Server" window.

You should see ASIAIR.

Click on the ASIAIR icon, and you should see the different ASIAIR volumes (EMMC Images, TF Image, Udisk Images). If you had save the images to a USB Flash Drive or an SSD to ASIAIR, it will be the Udisk (USB Disk).

Double click on the volume and macos mounts it to your desktop, just like any other external drives, using Guest as the user; no password needed. You will probably see its URL with a smb:// prefix (Samba server) -- Samba has been on MacOS for at least 25 years now.

Drag copy the ASIAIR files, etc, to your own drive, again, just like any other external drive.

When done, eject the ASIAIR volume before powering the ASIAIR off, or removing ASIAIR from the router.

ZWO has a bug which causes the server not to eject successfully every time. If so, you can get rid of the orphaned server from your desktop by going to macos Terminal, and issue the Unix command "killall Finder".

Just taking darks today after getting back from holidays and crash crash crash. Reboot my iPad and still crashing during sequence. It opens back up still working and taking darks but I hope imaging tonight goes better!

I decided to see if it crashed with the mount hooked up and in station mode and not just hooked up direct to do darks and no more crashes. Interesting!

For me, networking in station mode is unreliable since version 2.2.1, but direct Wi-Fi with the asiair plus is much faster than before and stable so far.

Reported that station mode instability issues with asiair log file to ZWO, but they replied to me saying that my network was not enough stable to be use in station mode.
To be honest, my home network connection with the ASIAIR Plus always indicated full speed connection, and never had any issues of that kind before with firmware version 2.1.5 or lower.

Other that that, so far so good on both Asiair Plus that I own.

After several weeks problem free, I'm all of a sudden experiencing weird problems with my AA+ and v. 2.2.2.
While slewing to a target, it suddenly veered off course and went completely south. I had to run outside to shut off my mount with a few seconds to spare before it collided with my mount.
Rebooted the air and scope, ok....but no longer went to home position.
Guiding is an issue as well. It took over 30 minutes to re calibrate. Hope the rest of the night is positive.

After my iPad auto installed v.2.2.2 on my ASIAIR Plus the direct wifi connection is very unstable (connection lost many times). Distance of 3 m. And personal settings got lost.

In Apple Settings, set the Apple setting, set OFF the automatic updates. Unfortunately, this applies for all APPS !
Then, go to ASIAIR / personal Settings and make a reset.
Then start everything new.
Now you can be review the updates before.

I just did that. After last update to my AA+ my guiding got wonky and ruined two nights of imaging. The Stellarmate learning curve is steep but I was already a little familiar with EKOS and Kstars. I plan to keep AA in the hopes they get their act together and put out solid updates. It will also serve as quick backup unit. It's a shame really because I really liked the simplicity and stability of my AA+ when I first got it.

I ran the new version last night and I was surprised that I had zero issues. It still has the dithering bug that shows the goto off target after 30 minutes or so, but no disconnects, issues and guiding was fair too.

Last night I forgot my Samsung A8 tablet which ran v2.2.2 11.30 fine, so I used my phone which was running the old version 2.1 software. I got a service unconnected error and could not use. When I returned home, I uploaded to latest software v2.2.2 the 9/29 release from ASI website and side-loaded onto my Galaxy S24 Ultra. I still get Service Unconnected issues and cannot connect to the ASIAIR Plus.

My thoughts are that my older V2.1 and the new V2.2.2 have the same error on the S24, but the TabA8 runs OK. This makes one also question firmware rather than just the V2.2.2 client. V1 worked on the S24 from what I recall before the recent firmware and V2.2.2 updates.

Any thoughts and ideas on how to fix this?

As an afterthought, I was wondering if there's a difference in security workflow between the A8 and S24 during connect. FTE is on the A8 and 5/4G on the S24 as well as wifi and BT.

WxMan you need to make sure you tell your device to stay connected to the ASIAIR WiFi otherwise it'll automatically switch back over to a network that has internet access.

So, on your device, go to WiFi settings and Forget the ASIAIR WiFi. Then restart (not shutdown) your device. Now, reconnect to the ASIAIR WiFi and when you see the prompt make sue choose to always stay connected.

It's possible you may need to turn off mobile data as well.

Also - the ASIAIR App on your device and the firmware on the ASIAIR itself are a matched set so they have to be the same.

That's why it is highly recommended to turn off App auto update on your device. Updating the app on your device is what causes the firmware on the ASIAIR to update.

Corsair yes, i always disconnect all other wifi networks before using asiair. I just keep my station mode wifi source available… no chance of it switching.
