I have just updated the firmware on my ASIAir Mini. The WiFi is longer visible. I have to connect by going through the wifi of the AM5 mount! I’ve tried going back to the old firmware but every time it insists I update!

ZWO - can you help?

Sdy30 the version of the App on your device needs to match the firmware on your ASIAIR.

So, if you run the latest version of the App- 2.2.2 - 11.30- on your device it'll want to upgrade the firmware on the ASIAIR it connects to.

To downgrade, you not only need to reset the ASIAIR, you also need to downgrade the App version on your device.

If you're using Android you can do this:

It's for this reason you should turn off app auto update on your device. On Android- you can do this for the ASIAIR App via the Play Store App. On iOS/iPadOS you can only do this for all apps via the App Store App.

Same issue but how am I supposed to downgrade if I can’t connect to it since wifi isn’t working

starlancer how am I supposed to downgrade if I can’t connect to it since wifi isn’t working

If WiFi is the problem, don't use WiFi.

Get a CAT6 or better Ethernet cable. Connect the LAN port of the ASIAIR to a LAN port on your home router. The ASIAIR app on your tablet should see the ASIAIR device.

If the app still cannot automatically find the ASIAIR device, look for the address of the ASIAIR on your router, and enter that as the manual IP in the ASIAIR app. Pretty much every "auto" function in ASIAIR is broken; you are better off using INDIGO Sky or StellarMatePro if you depend on "auto" functions.

If you are using iOS or iPadOS, be sure to go into the ASIAIR app settings on your Apple device to allow Local Network connections.

Had this same issue on a brand new unit. Just updated it to 2.2.2 out of box on the first time connecting to it. WiFi disconnected, after it said rebooting, never came back up. Had to disconnect everything connected to it and use the reset button, and then just pull power completely after disconnecting everything and then i was able to see it again.
