I haven't used my ASIAIR Mini a lot but overall have had good success with its operation and results. Last week I was running an AutoRun with my ASI2600mm (main), ASI174mm (guider), and ASI EFW. I set up this AutoRun plan:
10 images @ 500 seconds using filter 5, 10 images @ 500 seconds using filter 6, and 10 images @ 500 seconds using filter 7. It worked great until getting to the final image. I started getting messages telling me that the ASI2600mm was disconnected. I tried three times to reconnect it but gave up because it was late and I had work the next morning and figured I wouldn't miss one image out of thirty.
It was also too late to capture calibration frames so I started doing that in my study two days ago. Now the app randomly returns to the iPad Home Screen. I open the app again and the AutoRun picks up where it left off but it's not ideal to have to keep an eye on my iPad to make sure I don't lose a lot of time, because as far as I can tell the AutoRun pauses when the app exits.
While creating calibration frames I also got two random messages regarding a problem with the EFW.
I'm running a test now, using the AutoRun parameters I had originally set up of ten 500 second images with each of three filters. The app exited sometime during capture of the second frame and just now exited during capture of the sixth frame.
I haven't found anything on the internet describing this exact problem, but based on other reported problems, I've connected the ASI2600mm directly to a power supply rather than to the ASIAIR. The EFW and ASI174mm are both connected to the ASI2600mm. The only thing connected to the ASIAIR, aside from the power cable, is the ASI2600mm. I removed a USB thumb drive from the ASIAIR as I've seen comments that blame that for some issues.
I don't see anything in the log files that would correspond to when the app exits, just the random hardware disconnects.
Using the most recent version of the ASIAIR app and iOS.
