Bluetooth connection problem

Bought a Seestar a couple of days ago and followed the instructions for setting up. I use an Android phone and the Seestar firmwareis 2.95

Tapping the connect button invariable fails to connect through bluetooth The error message is something like "Need bluetooth access to search Seestar nearby".

I am then invited to connect to Seestar Wi-Fi. Connecting to its 10.0.0.0/8 network is successful but then I have no internet access on the phone so I can not connect to my account --- the error message is The network is abnormal, please try again".

I have completely failed to switch it into station mode. The wifi network is detected but the password is not accepted ---pressing the OK button just flashes it for a second and then returns to the waiting state.

It also fails to get my location (but I set it by hand so no real problem there) However, I can take scenery images so many things must be working.

As far as I can tell, Bluetooth is fully accessible on the phone, so there should be no permissions problems. For instance, it will pair quite happily with a laptop.

Any suggestions on how to proceed?

and can you please check the authority management of Seestar app? and make sure it allow the app to turn on the bluetooth.

To do that I had to allow the app to modify system settings. Not entirely sure that is wise from a security point of view ...

Perhaps I will just have to continue to use the S50's 10.0.0.0/8 network and put it into station mode which seems to do most if not everything I want.
