I hope im not wasting time speaking to nobody here…
for me Asi Air pro and plus have had a no fail 3 year streak until yesterday. Im not sure if its new firmware related or ios version but Id like to understand the root cause.
This issue was an image session ruining problem, I was attempting to image comet Tsuchinshan as it approached my treeline, I get about an hour window each night to try to capture it. Last night I focused, polar aligned, plate solved, and framed up the comet.
I went to do an auto run of 100 x 15 second images. When I started autorun it would take one image and stop. It would not continuously take frames. I had dither turned on for every 15 frames. Did not matter the autorun did not work. I reset it 5 times. I tried to turn off all the settings, it failed everytime.
I desperately turned on the eaa feature and auto stacked lightframes for about 10 minutes. This worked fine.
This auto run issue really was disappointing. Im not sure how Devs missed this. Im tempted to rollback my drivers to this time last year when everything was perfect.
Please ZWO team, put resources into making Asi Air a bullet proof reliable imaging computer. You are putting resources into silly products no one is asking for and allowing your bread and butter products to catastrophically let down thousands of users. You are literally on the verge of a mass exodus, one successful asi air competitor away from loosing your customer base. I dont know whats going on over there but I really suggest relocating your entire Dev team outside of China. You should outsource it to a reputable third party instead of trying to do so much yourselves.
Its the best non windows option available, I suggest you fight hard to keep that title.
