I see it the same way. So the mosaic mode is not really usable. It must be possible to sort out bad images and re-stack them into a mosaic image

If you have deleted the lights with the satellite tracks on the S50 itself you may need to also deleted the 'Stacked' files as well on the S50. Then try restacking the clean lights using the in-built tool.
If this does not work it could be that the files are not in sequence any more, the 'FIT' files should be in date/time order i.e.
Light_M31_10.0s_LP_yyyymmdd-hhmmss etc.

Seestar_S50 Does this also allow to stack mosaics with lights from more than one imaging session / different nights?

Seestar_S50 I was confident, but unfortunately it didn't work out. The Seestar did not stack a complete mosaic, but only a section based on the first light in 1920 x 1080 px format. How can I get the app's Deep Sky Stack function to subsequently render a complete mosaic from the cleaned up lights, just as it does during the shooting? I deleted everything but the lights in the sub-folder, as you said.

I'll try myself from 2 different nights and get back to you. In theory it should work but it could be looking at something else in the subfolder that I've missed.

Arriba I guess the images that were not registered had some defects. Star trail above the treshold or something like this. This script dropped only 7 frames for me when stacked my Double Cluster two days ago. 404/411

Gulyas K I will try again. In any case the script is working. The only disadvantage is that stacking those 549 images ( M 31) in Siril has cost me over 6 hours

Arriba Wow, that's a lot of time. Are you working on a classic HDD? I put a 1TB M2 secondary SSD in my PC and process my astrophotos on that. Plus upgraded to 64GB RAM from 16GB. 100 times faster. The process that lasted 3 hours for example is less than 10 minutes now.

Gulyas K I have pretty much the same horsepower using PixInsight (64G RAM, 5 TB SSD storage) running on Ubuntu 24.04. I've monitored the system as PixInsight was stacking many subs. The system is CPU bound (all 16 CPUs run at 100%). Memory consumed maxed out once at 50GB.

Given my previous old laptop (old style HDD), I'll never be cheap again. It's not worth it.....
