In an earlier post I wrote that the ASI2600MM-Pro backfocus distance was too long. It is a pity to produce an APS-C camera that can't use APS-C lenses such as those from 7Artisans with 19.25mm backfocus.. Unfortunately my proposed solution, to add a Micxro-4/3 mount adapter to the backplate is difficult, because the optical path length is even longer than the 12.5mm chip-backplate distance.
So I propose that ZWO uses the smaller ASI294MM-Pro casing instead of the ASI2600MM-Pro casing. Before you say "impossible", another large Chinese maker has already done that, while also managing to include an anti-dew heater.
I already use the ASI294MM-Pro with the ZWO Micro-4/3 mount adapter, but the ASI294MM-Pro is inferior to the IASI2600MM-Pro - smaller chip, bad afterglow, strange binning, no anti-dew heater.
Please don't say that I can use obsolete Canon-EF or Nikon-F reflex film lenses with long backfocus. I'm already forced to do that with the ASI6200MM-Pro. You can say that non-astronomy users like me are not your intended market, but then you are missing an opportunity.
