Plans are great but when used for multiple targets on the same night they quickly get overloaded and cumbersome to work with. They also do not provide an option to specify a start time for each target. We can set a delay before the first image in each autorun but that lacks precision since we can’t know how much time each one will take for guiding calibrations, autofocus etc.
I think a sequencer would be a useful tool. The way I see it it would allow me to:
A. Create a sequence of plans I want to run
B. Have the option to specify a start time for each plan which would allow for a pause if needed for a target to get high enough.
C. Have ending options (home, stop cooling,etc) just like the plans. The plans would have to ignore their own settings when they are running from a sequence.
