Sony A6400 not working with ASIair

Hello has anyone been able to connect with this camera? It's on the supported camera list at least in the previous forum entries I looked at. In reality, it doesn't connect, no matter what USB settings etc that are selected.

Yes, it works fine. I think on the body you have to change its usb function to pc control or something, nothing else needs altering.

This is the best advice I have seen for this problem, I wish I had seen it last night! I spent 4 hours trying to get the PC to recognise my A6400. Install drivers, uninstall, reinstall. Change settings etc.

It turns out it was actually a setting on the Sony camera called "Ctrl w/ Smartphone" in "Menu -> Network1" that was checked and not allowing the correct PC control function to operate. I had to change this to "Off". Then in "Menu -> Setup4" I could change "USB Connection" to "PC Remote".

After that the Sony A6400 is found in both ASIAIR menu and the N.I.N.A equipment menus (with the ASCOM Sony drivers for NINA).

66FkOsKB Did you find it works ok with the asiair. I tried mine tonight and the camera keeps disconnecting after like one or two exposures, then the asiair says exposure failed and it stops or the camera appears disconnected.

It used to work okay on V2.0 or so of the app and firmware at that time. In the end I just unplugged the camera from the asiair and just use the cameras intervalometer instead, otherwise thanks to the asiair I wouldn't have had any images.
