When I start the S30 and move to the first object, it does not find the object. This is because the stars are out of focus. When the stars are out of focus, I use auto focus. That fails because the stars are too much out of focus. I turned on manual focus so I could focus the stars to pinpoints before looking for a object. Then use auto focus and it works fine.
Looking more into this, to fix it I changed the default auto focus settings in the focus tab. I do not have exact numbers because I am using the Seestar. The default is like 1277, and the correct focus is 1477 as an example. I have been told by another user his default is 1400. I set the new default to 1400. Started over from start with the S30. I moved to the first target, and it was found with stars focused. Auto focus works now. Before I made this change, the stars were always out of focus when starting from power on. Could be a IOS app issue
BTW, I found another issue. When auto focus is started and canceled, the app is frozen. Closing the app is the only work around. Should I send this to Zwo. Anyway, posted this in case anyone has this kind of issue.
