I have had this camera for several months, and love the image quality and the simplicity of how it works and the elimination of cables. It's a joy to use it.
However, since September I have reported a recurring problem where the camera will get stuck on loading as it tries to download the latest image. It never finishes, and stays on loading until either I reboot the camera, or hit the pause button on auto run and start the image again. The image that refused to load will be lost, so it's wasted time.
If I do not reboot or pause, the camera will remain stuck and the session will be ruined. This makes the setup useless for overnight or unattended imaging. My old ASIAIR worked fine in this mode, but a couple of software updates have not fixed it. Others are reporting this as well, and I have sent at least a half dozen logs of this behavior.
Will it be fixed? When?
Early on I had other problems that I have reported, such as half frames and corrupted images. ZWO was good enough to replace the camera, and those problems were remedied with the replacement.
This has to be a software issue. It has been there since late September, right after I bought the camera.
Can someone assure me this is being looked into and will be fixed? Otherwise I'll have to return this whole setup, which I really don't want to do. But it seems 4 months is enough time to find and fix the bug. Others are reporting it as well.
Waiting for some communications. Otherwise, the 2600 Air is excellent and meets all my expectations except for unattended imaging which does not work at all because of this issue..

Tonight out of the blue I had two images that were blank. Rebooted camera and all was well. Stabbing in the dark it acts like a memory leak or software, rather than hardware. But every night it is another adventure where something goes wrong.

Here was how odd my screen looked with the blank image and something wrong at the bottom of the screen.

I have sent the logs from tonights festival of problems.. I hope someone will look at them and figure out a solution

azskyguy Hello. We plan to release a new beta version in the next few days. I will leave you a message when the time comes. You can download the new beta version to try and see if it solves your problem.

PMTeam@ZWO looking forward for the new FW fixing this critical issue. thanks.

        Thanks very much...

I have installed it and will try tonight. I now believe many or perhaps all of these problems were caused by the power pass through to the mount, in my case, an AM3. Despite it being recommended that that was a good method of powering the mount, when I didn't use the pass through my WiFi range increased, and over 4 nights of imaging I have not had a single corrupted frame. I doubt this is a problem that can be fixed with software, but my issues of poor WiFi, corrupted and blank frames all dramatically stopped when I stopped using the power pass through.

Interestingly, the power supply I use has multiple outputs, so instead of using the pass through in the camera, I just ran 2 cables from that power supply, one to the camera, one to the mount. Now everything works perfectly. I believe it is the power issue that has caused issues for me and others. Clearly, my power supply has enough voltage to power the camera and mount separately, but when I use the pass through the camera and mount are not getting enough voltage, so it must be something in the wiring or perhaps your software is not allowing full voltage to pass through.

azskyguy I purchased a separate power supply and powered my mount (AM5) and 2600 Air separately and I still had corrupted imaged. I downloaded this update and although it was cloudy, I shot 2min subs out my window all night and didn't have an any corrupted subs. My issue was intermittent and could go 2-3 nights without any issues and then have back-to-back issues after multiple restarts. I am cautiously optimistic this update fixes the problem.
