EFW ASCOM driver issue

I've been using a ZWO 8x31mm EFW for quite a while now and have just noticed that despite setting the "unidirectional" option as active this seems to be ignored when a change is requested from capture software (ccdciel in my case). It works fine when requesting the change in the ASCOM driver (V6.5.28) setup panel. Any capture software can't change this setting as its not ASCOM standard so there must be a problem with the driver.

i am seeing the same exact problem. i don't know the ascom driver version but it was installed probably 3 months ago. your competitors apparently solved this problem by issuing a firmware update for their filter wheel that simply forces the wheel to turn in one direction no matter what software issued the command. is this a possibility for ZWO?

Nothing wrong with the EFW firmware, the problem was on the ASCOM platform side of things. Changed the unidirection value to true in the profiler and the action sticks. Obviously ASCOM must be able to change the wheel property but it does not provide that as a method, somewhat confusing.
