Sonixx From your photo, I don't see any issues, it just seems the overlay hasn't been completed.
Mosaic Mode Broken
Thanks for your reply.
I don’t think it works as intended. What you see are 5-6 hours exposure. And looking at the starmap, the seestar was drifting off and was only imaging outside of the specified field and was not contributing to the Mosaic.
Sonixx So sad, in EQ Mode you will have the same resultat in 1 hour. We are all caught in the hands of ZWO.
Sonixx It is normal for it to image half outside the selected frame. Looks to me like your issue is that you're trying to use 2x framing and it just takes so long to spiral out that at some point it gets lost (due to combination of noise and sky rotation and that it does image half outside the frame) and has trouble aligning with what's left inside the frame. That may have been 5-6 hours of real time, but I'll bet that was less than an hour of actual exposure. Most of it was likely just dropped frames, and rarely does it recover after it starts dropping.
Try 1.4-1.5x instead of 2x. I think you'll find the success rate goes way up.
Sonixx There is indeed an issue with the timing. You can check the level status of the device.
Daemon42 It is not normal for half of the image to be outside the frame. I have seen cases when less than 5% of the image was inside the frame, which is definitely not normal, I think I posted screenshots of that before. No matter what the image rotation with respect to the frame is, a disc of diameter 0.7 degrees centered on your image is what needs to be kept inside the frame. There is no need to go outside the frame more than that.

Can you please follow this tutorial https://h5.seestar.com/course/79221 and upload the log?
This Mosaic was just a 1.1 or 1.2 I believe a I just wanted to have no field rotation visible.
I seems the seestar could not go back to the field of view.
Previous Mosaics, even 2.0x ones, worked fine. And the Mosaic unfolded differently going back and forth. Here it drifted off in one direction and stayed there.
I would not opened this topiic if it was just a one time problem. But it happened on any target in different sky locations.
Due to bad weather I could not test again.
Maybe the temperature played a role at slightly below zero d Celsius.

Stephan
Sonixx I've seen your log, stay tuned for log message replies.

I am happy to report that with the new Firmware that 3 out of four Mosaics completed successfully.
The one that did not complete was the first one which could only gather 20 minutes in two hours. 13 Minutes were captured in the first 15 Minutes or so. Then it constantly reported star trailing issues. The other targets were better. But also there the success rate deminishes with time. The Devs should really look into this.
But it is great to see that new valuable features keep being added.

Stephan

I think we should hire someone to look into this issue. I will follow up on it.
