Tracking Issues

This has never happened before but the last few nights whenever i've tried to shoot a target it does not track it properly and has horrible star trails. However, if I stop/start and keep auto focusing a few times it fixes it. Is anyone else experiencing this? The stack will not start at all, and does not save any subs until i've restarted it and auto focused multiple times.

I am perfectly levelled, my compass is calibrated, no clouds and the object is not near the zenith (m33 is only at 50 deg). I've seen one other person with this issue. Thanks.

I would also like to add that once it does start, I get quite a lot of rejections, sometimes it will go 4-5 minutes before stopping the rejections. Again, this is not usually how it goes I havent had an issue like this previously

Updated to new firmware, issue persists. Any ideas @support@Seestar.

Can you please ask if you have successfully completed the star horizontal calibration (there will be a horizontal calibration prompt after the initialization enhancement is complete)

Support@Seestar Yes completed it fine, no errors with that. Once I skipped it though it worked. I've tried again a couple of nights ago and it seems better so i'm not sure if theres a bug.

I had a similar issue some time ago and the solution was easy (and stupid 🙂
Like many others I use a leveler with 3 screw wheels. I forgot to lock the level on one (at least) of the wheels.this caused similar trailing effects on different horizontal positions of the seestar.
