Tim1343 Unless you are using EQ mode (whenever that becomes available), you cannot achieve exactly the same framing on two different nights - the Alt/Az coordinates of your target will be different and the frame will have a different rotation.
Also be aware that the frame orientation you see in planning mode is not what you will get, it is how the frame would look like at the current time you are doing the planning which is of course useless. This too will change when EQ mode becomes available, you will essentially work in RA/Dec coordinates instead of Alt/Az and the frame rotation will no longer depend on the date and time, what you see is what you get. Then you should be able to take the same image on different nights and the frame orientation will be the same, and it will also match what you see in SkyAtlas during planning.
Doing multi-night captures as well as large mosaics will become much easier using planning in EQ mode.
