You're best to open a formal ticket via the seestar app. This will upload available logs from your device to ZWO for review, especially if you're going to ask for a refund. You then also have a ticket number to track and nag about if necessary.
But for the heck of it, try the following (my S30 wouldn't properly autoficus when I first used it but I changed a config parm and then all was well);
Start the S30
Start the Seestar app and connect to the S30
Within the Seestar app, select "Me" (bottom right hand corner)->Focus->Star Focus POS default
Change the value to 1361 (this is the value I used after manually focusing on a star...)
Press Done
Return to home page
Stargazing->Deep Sky->Named Star
Pick a star that's viewable. Goto
Hopefully the S30 finds it and focus' properly
If true, pick any other deep sky object and Goto.
Hopefully all is then well.
