Hello Seestar Team, first of all I want to compliment you on the wonderful product you have designed! In my small way and being able to shoot whenever the clouds go away... I have been using the Seestar S50 for 3 weeks but even leaving it out to do its job I notice that it has significant problems in adding all the shots I understand that until the equatorial mode is released there is a number of deviations but in one night adding 110/120 minutes seems to me not to be ok!! For your information I noticed that the level changes based on the object pointed at I redid the calibration in my factory using a reference plane but the problem remains! then I would have a request free of charge I would offer to test your software / firmware news and give you feedback obviously only out of passion and help in my small way to the development of this splendid and wonderful product!!! Really good everyone keep it up best regards from Vicenza NORTHERN ITALY!!! Marco.
Clarifications and Compliments
Thank you for your support of Seestar! The issue with the level calibration may be caused by an error in the horizontal sensor. You will need to remove the Seestar from the tripod and recalibrate the horizontal sensor.
However, due to some issues, I would really like to invite you to join our testing group, but my invitation link has expired. Other users who wanted to join also reported that the link is not working, though our staff can still access it normally. Unfortunately, at the moment, we are unable to invite you to join, and I sincerely regret this.
Thanks i have just calibred the sensor whit plane but the issue remains but the seestar work, for request to beta tester team i send mail to seestar support?
Hi I did the sensor calibration and I understood the problem, in the previous calibration I supported the seestar without a trap obviously, supporting it on the reference plane on the 4 rubber feet and I noticed that they are not flat and that was the problem and the calibration was not correct.
In the second calibration always on the reference plane I did not support the seestar on the feet but I used a 3/8 threaded base flat on the reference plane and I did the calibration
Now it is better let's say that it goes from level 0.0 in the starting position to a maximum error of 0.8.
I would have a suggestion for the next updates if you can put a pause of 10/15 sec post Dither to allow the traction to be in traction and avoid star trails in my traditional setup I also use 30 seconds of pause and I never have problems
Keep it up and I'm waiting for the eq mode to push this toy to its limit
WELL DONE GREAT WORK
Ah as soon as you have the chance I would do some tests on the seestar for you willingly
