While closing my Seestar S50 via the app after last night's session the telescope spinned twice around itself (az axis) and the arm (alt axis) overshoot its regular closing position and touched the main body while producing a grinding sound as it obviously could move no further (see image below, the movement followed the red arrow and then touched the yellow marked area). It stopped trying to move further by itself after a couple of seconds and assumed its normal parking position. Is this a bug (i.e. loss of orientation for whatever reason)? Could this incident have damaged the gears and/or reduced the accuracy of the alt axis movement?
Pour moi ce n'est pas normal, il doit y avoir un problème soit mécanique, soit électronique; a voir avec le S.A.V. de ZWO.
Please enter the viewing mode, use the control panel to control Seestar after closing, open the Arm and click "Close Arm", if nothing is OK, you can use it normally.
Support@Seestar Of course I did check right after the incident and on first glance everything appears normal. My question is whether this could have impacted the accuracy of the gears & drives or if the construction is robust enough to withstand such a (unexplainable) glitch.
oRX2hR4h Normal use does not matter, does not affect.
