milky way capture

Has anyone been successful with capturing the milky way in scenery mode? I have both S30 and S50. Milky way season is just beginning so I thought I would add it to my todo list. Not sure of the best approach or even if it will work. Any thoughts?

jdaley The S50 is not really suitable for large star fields or even the Milky Way. Unlike the S30, it only has a single telescope lens.

Seestar is not suitable for photographing the Milky Way, you know, Seestar's field of view is not large enough.

IMHO, a digital camera (with a 50mm, or less) is more suitable for this kind of object...

Seestar is capable of capturing objects within the Milky Way galaxy, such as nebulae and star clusters, but due to its narrow field of view, it cannot capture the entire Milky Way. For capturing the whole Milky Way, it's recommended to use a wide-angle camera or a landscape astrophotography setup.
