Looking for guidance.... I have a brand new seestar. When it works it is very cool, but it mostly does not work.
Symptoms are it continually loses its connection to the iphone (within a few minutes; i have never had it stable for more than 25 min). Moreover, the HW appears to crash when i do simple things. Example, I am sitting here with it in my office, phone next to the seestar. If I toggle the light filter on/off, it crashes. If I go into scenery mode and attempt to manually steer it and then autofocus, it crashes. When rebooted after a crash it has no awareness its arm is open (in station mode, clicking open arm while arm is open will reset this. in private wifi mode it never realizes the arm is open and must be rebooted from the app, ie shut down seestar).
For connection, I am right now in station mode. But I can also be in 2.4GHz private wifi (with cellular off), i see the same issues. i've set iphone to "always on" and just have the seestar app active. tl;dr i've tried reading through other crash reports on this site to optimize the winning settings but am still struggling to get the HW running stable.
any help is incredibly appreciated...
addendum: when i first setup the s50 it asked for new FW. this update process failed many times before finally sticking. but perhaps it was unsuccessful? is there anyway to reflash the FW?
