Won't find objects, keeps identifying

I run my Seestar S50 in EQ mode and have been using the latest update that use can use flats and 60 sec exposures. Version 2.5.
I'm am running on android.
I can polar align, goto an object and it does all the auto enhancing and checking focus then happily sets off taking the 20 sec exposures.
But if I want to change target, I find it in sky atlas or type it in then set the seestar to go to, it will move to the target but then become stuck on identifying and recentring in a loop. This has only happened since the latest up date and was working fine days before. I had successfully taken a flat earlier on my first session with the new update so it shouldn't be that.
Like I say I can goto a target that I image first but any subsequent targets it won't centre on them and start taking images, just gets stuck in a loop of identifying and recentring. There is nothing in the way of the new targets and focus is fine. The battery is fine too at 100 percent running on a battery pack.
I will format the seestar, uninstall the app from my phone and reinstall to see if this helps me.
Would this issue be a flat file problem even though it was successful? And retaking the flat file help?
It's very strange that I have no issues with the first target but only with one's after the first.
I have now uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, formatted the drive on the seestar s50 and retaken both flats and dark frames. Hopefully the skies stay clear tonight to test it out.
Edit. I managed to get it to find the 2nd a third targets to test but it took several attempts at centering. The first image after completing the goto is very noisy and then once going it has no noise. So I'm thinking that the noise is preventing a successful plate solve. I'm not sure how to correct this unless I try to take darks again.

This issue is unlikely to be caused by the flat file, as flats are mainly used to correct illumination uniformity in the image and have little impact on plate solving.

A more likely cause is that the first image after slewing to a new target has high noise, resulting in low image quality and causing the plate solving to fail — especially right after switching targets.

We recommend testing again under clear skies. If the problem persists, try enabling SkyAtlas Sync to help improve the centering accuracy.

Support@Seestar the issue still persists for me after trying again with sky atlas sync. I never had this issue before update 2.5.

I have had the same issue since 2.5. First Target is no problem. Subsequently targets get stuck in identify/shooting loop for several minutes. Sometimes it will fail but when I go to live view, it’s right where it is supposed to be and I can start taking images. I also noticed the very high noise image you see before the first exposure completes. Never seen that before 2.5.

Bendak I'm sorry your experiencing the same as me, though at least its not me a potentially a bug in the update, I hope they fix it soon.

Have you tried manually focusing on any target, then proceed to your desired target.

After the last update, I had what sounds to be the same issue. Manually focused on any star, then proceeded and all seemed to function as expected.

My theory is scope cannot identify when out of focus. Why, oh why, would an update affect focus? Only the programmer would know.

P1x26Yb4 thank you I will try this next time I have clear skies. I wouldn't of thought the focus position would alter when slewing to a new target and cause the high noise issues. But I will try your work around for it thank you. It's strange how 3 of us a now suffering with this issue.

P1x26Yb4 I had clear skies last night and got to try out your suggestion. Though after choosing and slewing to my next target the focus count of 1531 from the first Target didn't change value, so I thought that focus wasn't the issue in my case.
The indentifying and centering target prompt came up 5 times and after the 5th attempt it performed a successful go to and started imaging. The noisey image l also changed to the 'clean' image after the first 20 second sub registered.
I've opened a ticket on the report and bug part on the seestar app.
