Garin Clicking the “Get Polar Alignment Deviation” button is necessary to ensure the accuracy of your polar alignment. This action updates the current deviation value based on the mount’s actual position at that moment, reflecting any changes detected by the app.
If you find that the deviation value gets worse after refreshing, it usually means the mount’s polar alignment has shifted and manual adjustment is needed to improve it.
It’s normal that the mount doesn’t move during this step, it’s simply updating the deviation data to help you fine-tune the alignment.
