Banding in pics with Seestar S50

Hi!

I just got a Seestar S50. What a cool thing to have! Really like the simplicity of the device. Really cool to show friends the universe : )

Unfortunately i have some issues with banding in the pics. I have read that the banding would go away when you have taken flats but not so im afraid.

I would like to have this sorted out. Can the good folks of this forum and ZWO give me some concrete advice on how to identify the culprit and how to remedy the banding?

Im trying to upload an example but it seems that the file is too big. How to upload it??

fVtT5nyz There is a 2MB limit on the size of images that can be uploaded.

The pic is taken from suburb of Stockholm in Sweden. Plenty light polluted and also several local light sources in the vicinity. Shot taken with dew shield attached.

Take the flats with a different light source or use a diffuser of some kind, like white fabric.

Neurodr Ok! Tnx for the information! I will try different methods for taking the flats and hopefully that will remedy the situation.
