sferlix Hello. If possible, please take a screenshot of your celestial library filter conditions. It is not necessarily a bug, it may be that no celestial body meets these conditions.

In addition, the FOV size during PA is 0×0, which seems to be caused by parsing failure. What PA method do you use?

This problem has been reported several times over the past couple of years by Southern Hemisphere users.
The 'drift' occurs even if you don't adjust the mount RA/DEC – just keep hitting "Refresh" and the error increases.

But ZWO has not addressed the problem in all that time.

The only work around is to adjust the mount and then restart the alignment from scratch; and, of course, repeat that process until the target is reached.
Tedious, but you eventually get there!

The majority of users simply that want a working piece of software and not be involved in a drawn out exercise to fix this V2.4 software blunder. All of us made the "upgrade" in good faith and now its become a nightmare.
I've been wasting my time fiddling around for hours trying to get either 2.3.3 or 2.4.1 downloaded and installed outside the Play Store interface, and without success, there are just too many hurdles involved in that. I would suggest most ASIAIR users are in the same situation.
I appreciate that you are working overtime to remedy this situation, but PLEASE.... just make the stable working version available on Playstore to the majority of us for a smooth upgrade process, so you can move ahead with the software savvy to do the alternative downloads and testing for you.

Mv9VA1ec Hello. iOS users need to download the testflight software first. Then open the link to jump to the testflight software to download. We are testing and verifying v2.4.1 as soon as possible. When all the bugs are verified, we will release the official version.

Mv9VA1ec 200% agreement. Have been wrestling with Android which refuses to install outside of play store, with the required permission change having no effect. This is a ridiculous situation, all caused by substandard software QA procedures. Clearly ZWO does not care to spend the time re-releasing 2.3.3 under a new higher version number (A TRIVIAL PROCESS!!), to allow this update to be painless for their frustrated user base. I am so disappointed in this company, and am trying to figure out how to migrate away from their ecosystem in the simplest way. This whole episode in unforgivable. I say this as a software professional for the last 45 years. Shame on them.

What are your android versions and devices? I only have to permit the Files app to install unknown apps. When you download it, it might be easier if you don't try to install using the browser--just let it download. Then open the Files app, go to Downloads, tap the downloaded file to install. At this point you'll need to allow the files app to install unknown apps following the prompt if you haven't done this previously. Sounds like it's a lot easier than the iOS folks have to deal with!

Note Deneb is above my NE horizon and is my lowest star in my eastern sky I can see due to trees.

Polar Alignment Results
Azimuth and Elevation continuously change quickly just by refreshing as others have reported over and over and over for SEVERAL YEARS now.

I am unable to pick a star lower in the sky to the east due to obstructions.

You can plug these numbers into the equations you are using and verify your current solutions are quite broken.

Please have someone look at the code itself. The bug should be quite obvious as the math required is not that complex to implement to resolve this for all situations that are being reported.

magore Have you tried 2.4.1? It works for me in Southern California. Turn on tracking if it doesn't turn on by itself for all sky PA. There's a whole new thread for the new beta.

magore v2.4.1 solves the PA plate solve failure caused by exposure time limitation. You can try the latest version v2.4.1, which is currently in the testing stage. Thank you!

I was able to align tonight by slewing to Deneb without sync and manually centering by adjusting the mount. Kludge but working.

Will try 2.41.
Has 2.41 been tested for allsky pa if the pa process crossed the Meridian?

I am not having exposure issues with my present filters when doing PA.
However when doing a sequence in the past I switch filters to a wide uvir filter and do a dummy 1 second image at the end of a plan sequence.
Then when it slews to the next target it's not using a narrow band filter.
Would be nice to have a filter setting for slew to target plate solving.
You could avoid unneeded focusing when switching filters by offering filter offsets as as an Alternative.

magore I've crossed the meridian in 2.3.3 and 2.4.1 during all sky polar and never had an issue. At least I think I did--the mount was at a negative angle!

magore Thank you for your suggestion. We will think about how GoTo can avoid the plate solve failure caused by using filters. The filter offsets has been planned in the next iteration.
In addition, are you using v2.4.1? Are there any other problems?

I hope to try 2.41 tonight.
I was running 2.4 but the All Sky PA RA/DEC changing just by refreshing and without any mount adjustment wasn't new, rather it has been a reported issue by others for a long time. It may be related to the position of the first star - which is why I gave exact details in my report. I will need to check the tracking status as had been suggested when i try tonight.
