As you say, I'm trying to connect to the ASIAIR Mini module itself. I didn't mean station mode, and the app was shut down during the factory reset.
When I say "it doesn't show up on the network", I mean that after shutting down the App, I press the hardware button, hold it while switching on the power and continue to hold it for slightly longer than five seconds after switching on the power, then release it. At this stage, the red power light was on, the green SYS light was flickering, and the Wi-Fi light was off. I tried this several times. After periods varying from a few minutes to 24 hours, there was no indication of reset completion, so I switched off the power and then switched it on, waited for the beep that indicates the ASIAIR Mini has completed its boot sequence. At this stage, the red PWR light and the red Wi-Fi light were both on, and the green SYS light was flashing. I accessed my phone's Wi-Fi settings, trying to locate the ASIAIR Mini Wi-Fi network "ASIAIR_XXXXXXXX". However, it didn't appear, despite repeated attempts.
I have two ASIAIR Mini devices, so I tested the second ASIAIR Mini with the same phone and App. There was no problem identifying its ASIAIR network using the phone's Wi-Fi settings when I switched on the power with the App shut down.
This suggests that the ASIAR Mini that was exposed to ASIAR App version 2.4 is faulty, and my local dealer has agreed to return it to ZWO for repair or replacement. However, I'd be glad to hear any suggestions that may resuscitate the failed unit.
